Hello from Queen City Immigration Law

I am a partner at Queen City Immigration Law and a member of the Steering Committee of the Charlotte-based Energizing Africa through Partnerships Conference (“Energizing Africa Conference”). This year will mark the third edition of the conference and I expect the steering committee to lead this conference to be the best one yet. This conference brings together energy business and project developers and government officials from Sub-Saharan Africa, U.S. African project developers, federal and state trade support organizations and energy professionals. The purpose is for the participants to gain knowledge of the African energy business and project opportunities, identify potential collaborators and build important partnerships to develop an energy infrastructure for Africa.

Our law firm, Queen City Immigration Law, has agreed to partner with the conference to facilitate the processing of B-1 and B-2 temporary visitor visas for the foreign attendees. During the past year, foreign business professionals, especially from Africa, have experienced difficulty obtaining visas from consular officers of the Department of State. In fact, there was a prominent conference in California that had every single application for an B-1 visa submitted by African business professionals denied.

For your convenience, we have prepared a checklist for you to use as a guide for gathering information to bring to your consular interview. Please go through this checklist thoroughly and organize all applicable documents. Once you are scheduled for an interview, please reference our specially prepared video that discusses common issues, questions, and appropriate answers for the consular interview.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact either one of our partners, Sherrod Seward or Dinh Tran.

Best Regards,

Sherrod Seward, Esq.
